Rita Moreno (born December 11, 1931) is a Puerto Rican dancer, singer and actress.

Moreno is known for her role as Anita in West Side Story (1961), which earned her the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress, becoming the first Latin American woman to win an Academy Award.^[1] She is one of the few performers who have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and a Tony Award.^[2] In 2014 she was honored with a Screen Actors Guild Award for lifetime achievement.^[3] In 2019, she was honored with a career achievement Peabody Award.
